Elionias, Georgiapolis - December 2008 Bid
Elionias, Georgiapolis is a city of 6 million people.
The capital and largest city in Georgiapolis, it has a strong Bohemian influence and is a favourite with the arts in the Adrian Union.
Elionias submits the following bid for the December Simlympics and will soon showcase its Simlypmic Park!

Re: Elionias, Georgiapolis - December 2008 Bid
doing what he did is a simple element in photoshoping, i think. From the looks of his picture, he just altered the brightness and the contrast of the pictures.
Re: Elionias, Georgiapolis - December 2008 Bid
Picturesque and beautiful as always Geo. Can't wait to see some venues and the Simlympic park area .

I adjusted saturation, contrast and brightness I believe.
The pictures are quite old, I am not sure if I can duplicate the exact same look for my next ones!!
Fingers crossed.

The park is under construction!
A big delay though due to BATTING issues but should be shown here in a few days.

Re: Elionias, Georgiapolis - December 2008 Bid
A real city with a real, integrated sports complex
Sports City Elionias is the best choice for the Simlympic games. The complex is located 10 minutes west of Elionias CBD and is on the fringes of the old town district, easily accessible via both the ElioMetro underground railway system and the Elionias Light Rail Network.
The park features several custom built venues including a 75000 seat centrepiece stadium, built by several local companies.
As a serious bidding nation of the Simlympics, Georgiapolis believes that it is important to create your own spaces in order to compile a strong and unique bid.
The complex is compact to ensure a high level of realism, efficiency and convenience for all patrons and it has been designed with the city in mind - green is abundant, just as it is in the rest of the city. This is a sophisticated level of integration where the complex is well meshed seamlessly and harmoniously into the city rather than creating an unwanted spectacle and detracting from the cities personality. The complex follows the guide of the city but the venues within it have a personality of their own.
Unlike other bids, the sports complex is as much a part of the city as the Parliament is - the complex belongs in the city, fits it like a glove and enhances the aesthetics of the city, just as a well made complex should. Best of all, it is well connected to the close by CBD and many hotels already established.
A taste of things to come...
Issues that the bidding committee may need to attend to:
Insufficient accommodation; the city can handle a large number of visitors however an influx such as one created by the Simlympics may require a surge in bed numbers. This can only occur out of the city centre where development is not so stagnant and slow. This could create logistical issues for patrons looking to be transported into the city centre.
The organising committee is looking into ways with the government to zone and develop areas where accommodation could be placed around the waterfront where feasibility for future use is high and the area is not out of reach from transport avenues and touristic areas.
There is also a plan to dock cruise ships in the harbour in order to temporarily increase the number of beds in the city.

Re: Elionias, Georgiapolis - December 2008 Bid
Well, I might release it to AU members ..if I win the bid
Truth be told, I didn't plan on releasing them heh, but if some of our members want them, I will surely give them to you! Nice to see Elionias Simlympic Stadium in your DP!
Oh and btw, the Velodrome is not ment to be EXACTLY like the Athens one! Just inspired by it

I’m definitely one of them. It is really cool geo. I’ve seen all your bat work and I’m huge fan. Well I think you have very good chances to win the bid.

Re: Elionias, Georgiapolis - December 2008 Bid
Also, the old Panathenaic Stadium which I have on STEX (I think Ylmeria is using it for his bid) I will remake better than before for my bid for the December Games!!
In the next update...the main Football stadium - 80000 capacity (another never before seen/used stadium, albeit not BATed by me!)

Re: Elionias, Georgiapolis - December 2008 Bid
Yeh, it has been overused IMO so I will need to make a new one! (ironic that I can't even use the BAT that I made )
I will see if I should make it bigger for my purposes, thanks for the suggestion.
