THE FAREWELL PARTY[b]

This evening at 9.00pm starts at the Hall of the covered market, the farewell party for the candidacy of Alameda 2008.

From the speech of the Major: ' Dear citizens, our Simlympic run has come at the end, we are not the winners as you know, but looking around us we know that we aren't defeated at all.
Our city is in bloom, we have more inhabitants, more commercial activities, more tourists, new parks and new venues. Today Alameda is richer and beautiful than has ever been. We can consider our candidacy as a push, a pretext for the change, and today and we can say that the expectations have not been disappointed.
For those who has loved and believed, as me and the Committee, in that symbol that today we see for the last time appear on the façade of the One Chase Alameda, I can say that we don't exclude the possibility to run again for the next games, the ISC now knows our city and our organizational abilities.
I renew my wishes to the city of Penthesili hoping that can keep the promises and give us the most beautiful Simlympiads of the history. Goodevening and good-bye'.

After the end of the speech the fireworks have started. The party continued across the roadsof the city, while in the 'Principi di Piemonte' hotel's ballroom the mayor has thanked the members of the Organizing Committee and has delivered them the maximum decorations of the city.

Awesome work with the fireworks too, especially the ones at the top of the tower and nice speech, I hope we do see another bid from Alameda as this bid was fantastic.
