PM:Ladies and Gentalmen just one week ago we all stood here on the threshold of greatness, not sure how these first winter games would go.We forged on and watched as the next 7 days showed us that the Passion does indeed burn bright within us all and our hearts were set on fire with that passion as we watched the most remarkable events take place from the un forgettable performance of the Nalsa Islands to Novland's best performance in a simlympics,to the Best and most watched hockey game(LOUD CHEER) in the history of this nation as our Nation celebrated it's first winter godl(Cheer). I know ask all of you to remember what brings us here as we move forward. It's the Passion in our hearts that moves us forward every day. Each one of you from the Ticket takers and voulenteers to the athletes to the spectators you are what made the York Winter Games truely a special occasion.I look to the youth and the best to carry on the Simlympic Spirit in the Summer as well as the next winter games. With this I officially call the games of the First Winter Simlympiad closed.Thank you and goodnight

Liz:I'd love to see it again and with this I'd like to thank our production team

Re: Day 8 (Closing Ceremonies)
Some wonderful games you organised! Savoy did quite a good job, I think (1 Gold and 1 Bronze). Obvious since the country is mostly Alps :p
Anyway, congratulations!

Re: Day 8 (Closing Ceremonies)
Great job as always canuck.
I'm a bit late to make a proper speech so I'll keep it short .
Huge thank you to Canuck for hosting such a marvelous winter games. It's fitting that the nation which constantly dominates SimSports' winter leagues is the first nation to host a winter simlympics, and will consequently be always known as the origin of the winter games. So congrats.
Another thank you goes out to Knarfmo for creating and updating the medal table, it's a big job and I'm really grateful for his help with it .
I hope you all enjoyed the first ever winter games, we'll be back in December (Christ, seems a long way away now.).
Thank you!
