Actually, I havn't thought for a design for the torch and medal yet. In fact, if time permits, I have not even design a mascot. Sorry if this news breaks your heart.
Re: Design Showcase
Okay. I did the design for the medals and the torch. And here comes the babies!

Medals
Gold

Bronze
Torch
Lighted Torch
Flame (you may use this for the Torch Relay)
All these are done with the power of Microsoft PowerPoint (with a pic of the flame from the net as a drawing guideline).
So what do you guys think?

Re: Design Showcase
Hey guys.
Here's what you will expect during the Simlympics:
Notice something?
Took me over 5 hours to make these for all of the participating nations. Take note that I only edit these picture from the original designer (i think he's Joe90), so all credits should goes to the original designer.
Here another [pixelated] banner for union-less nations:

Re: Design Showcase
not bad aranho but Joe has all these already done there done in sections so that we can add results and records and medals so putting the unions on it may not be needed
Re: Design Showcase
Yup, I do know that.
But the reason I'm adding the logo into the name is that people can easily find out what union that particular nation is belongs too.
Still, I think this will only be done on this April edition of the Simlympics. Let's see how it goes.

Re: Design Showcase
I'm not sure if I'm the first person to do this but...
As part of the promotional campaign for the Tourist City Simlympics, Raffore International Airlines, the national carrier for Raffore Islands, together with the Raffore Islands Simlympics Committee have revealed a plane, Rasa RC850, with the Simlympics decal.
This plane will be use to carry the Simlymic Torch throughout the whole torch relay. 24 other Rasa RC850 planes owned by Raffore Int. Airlines will get the new decal also.

I'm sorry... but its just not possible. When we were developing the new banners we played around with having the union logo there, but it didn't really work. The place you've put it doesn't work either, because that space is reserved for either gold, silver, bronze, 4th, 5th etc. Also, as canuck said, the banners are split up in a special way to make the posting easier.
Sorry you spent so long making these, you should've checked first .
The plane and all the other stuff looks awesome though.

Re: Design Showcase
sorry mike I meant to say I took the banner discussion private the other reason as I told Aranho was the whole political ties that unions have and much like the country names we strive to keep politics out of the Simlympics
the plane looks great btw

Re: Design Showcase
Thanks about the design of my stuff.
Regarding about my version of the banner, don't worry about it. My real purpose of the banner is actually for the Parade of Nations (or whatever you guys called it).
