Torch Relay - Sunday March 29th - Alameda, Italy

'Good evening ladies and gentlemen, members of the ISC and of the Simsport Community, let me introduces you to the live broadcast of the Simlympic torch relay here in Alameda'

For Alameda is a great honor to host for the second time the journey of the Simlimpic Torch after the December Games.
The theme chosed for the relay's sixth leg is: 'Piazza Italiana'.
A journey that will ideally carry the Torch right in the heart of every metropolis, city, town and village of our Nation: the square.

The Torch has come to 'Urbe International Airport' in the north of the city this morning with a special Raffore International Airlines flight coming from the Shalman Empire. The flame kept in his special casket was welcomed by a large crowd standing outside the Terminal 4.


The flame was then transferred by train from the terminal station to the heart of downtown Alameda, here the first torch was lit and the first torchbearer began the race through the city.


Here is the first stop of the torch in front of Palazzo Madama (the center of the political life of the city)
for recieve the welcome of the authorities.
Were present at the ceremony the Mayor of Alameda Leleone, the President of the Simrepublic G. Napolitano and the Foreign Affair Minister F. Frattini.


The second pause in the Teatro dell'Accademia Square in front of the Academy Theater.
During the flame's stop the students of the Dramatic Arts School made a performance on the theme of sport, competition and solidarity.


The passage of the torch through one of the most beautiful historic squares in Alameda: Piazza San Carlo.

The final part of the Relay in the city: the flame arrives at the National Opera Center, inaugurated in occasion of the
Torch Relay's arrive in town.
The public standing in the park was able to attend at a spectacular ceremony for the end of the journey in our city, while inside of the building played one of the best known Play written by Giuseppe Verdi: Nabucco.


The spectacular moment of the cauldron's ignition in the middle of the pond that surrounds the building.

The end of the Relay: the cauldron was extinguished and the flame returns to burn in his casket ready to leave for Chihiro.

Yess Slacker it's a fantastic building....now is used to host concerts, but it's designed as a multipurpose space .... so never say never
