The Official Port Matthew Simlympic Bid!
Here is the official Port Matthew bid: our athletic sites, starting with Simlympic Park and working towards Southport.
Simlympic Park was built in Stranahan Hills to play host to track and field and swimming events. It is a very attractive area with easy access to the rail network, the highway, and the monorail.
And from the other direction.
The Simlympic Mall is a very popular shopping area.
And in Southport near PMU and the Thunder Bowl sits Competition Arena, built to house ping pong, basketball, and any number of other indoor sports (sorry about the grid).
And finally, the brand new docks area is set to host the rowing events! The city is ready to welcome visitors with open arms.
It's a thriving city with a population of over 620,000 people in a region of well over 1.3 million. It would be a mistake not to consider this beautiful location for the Simlympics!

Re: The Official Port Matthew Simlympic Bid!
Welcome my STHL brother to the site first off.
secondly glad to see you brought PM to the bid stage I've followed your CJ for quite awhile now and have enjoyed it. Couple of bid related questions
1-would the football events be held at that stadium next to the arena
2-can we see a region shot(I figured I'd bother you for it here)

You asked for it
You got it! Here are the region views, the first one a satellite view, the second a transportation view. There's still some work left to be done on the region, but the main areas are just about finished.
And here is Southport, where baseball will be played, daytime and nighttime views:
Perhaps tomorrow a logo will be coming!

Re: The Official Port Matthew Simlympic Bid!
Just to make it that much more official, here is the official Port Matthew Simlympic logo!
Here are also some new shots of Port Matthew.
What are visitors going to do between events, or perhaps before and after the Simlympics start in Port Matthew? Why, hit East Bank Beach! The East Bank Ferris Wheel gives astounding views of Defenders' Cliffs and the Financial District across the river, and you can even see Simlympic Park atop Stranahan Hills off in the distance from the very top.
And at the other end of East Bank Beach are the East Bank Towers, the Patton Motors Building, and...
...the East Bank Museum next to East Bank Plaza. The city is alive with things to do, is home to a vibrant and growing economy, and has more than adequate athletic facilities, boasting state of the art arenas across the board. With the Cliffs in the middle of the city (take a look:
photo was taken before Simlympic construction), and the Royale Mts. National Park a mere one hour's drive north of the city, the refreshingly unpretentious city is ideal for hosting an esteemed event such as the Simlympics!
