Linktoria City May 2010: A small nation
Linktoria City, Linktoria is a city that has a population of 152,000 people. A growing nation but at a fast growing speed. I don't have much for you just yet because I am new at this. Thats why I'm trying to get some sports teams in. If you have any advice I'd like that. This is only a rumor but I'll have more soon. Keep listening.

Sounds interesting. Mine is a small country too, but puts a lot of resources in its sports programmes. You'll find that every player gets "PAS" points based on experience in the games and other factors like bidding to host. Country size doesn't matter, but you'll be able to "spend" your points on the sports that you'd like to increase your chances of winning a medal in.
If hosting the entire Simlympics looks too intimidating right now, there are a lot of other small events that you could host, like international hockey tournaments, tennis tournaments, or even the session to pick the next host of the games.
Have a look around the site; there are lots of opportunities to participate at SimSports.

Wacky, xD can't wait too hmm, you'll take a screenshot (just press "Print Screen") then you'll only have to "copy paste" on paint or photoshop by example and save it on your computer. After that, you'll press the button just above here ^^ "Upload a picture" and you'll browse a pic... etc.
Re: Linktoria City May 2010: A small nation
Actually, you don't need to use the print screen key. I personally prefer SC4's built-in camera, since it lets me take as many pictures at once as I want without having to alt-tab back and forth between SC4 and Paint or Photoshop.
Wacky32, if it turns out that you'd rather use the game camera (it's in the options menu, to the right of the quit button), you'll have to convert the image file into JPG format; you can do this with GIMP (a free image-editing program comparable to Photoshop) and get pretty good results - better than if you used Paint.

No problem, take as long as you like. Looking forward to seeing what you have to show when it's ready .

Re: Linktoria City May 2010: A small nation
couple of tips to help you get better looking pics
first instead of using the toolbar hit ctrl+shift+s for the screenshot tool
also the pics always look better when not in pause mode you'll also get some traffic on those streets(sometimes)

Looks like you have some good potential. Just one thing that I try and do is to not overly plan out the sporting areas, just let them kinda be absorbed into your city. It will tend to look a bit more realistic.
