There was a bombing in Uganda (country in East Africa) that killed 74 people watching the finals match, on included an American spokeswoman!

K50 Dude wrote:oh baloney they were tripping Spain left and right. If you get ten cards, one of which is a red from two yellows, then they don't deserve to win. Ten legitimate cards is BS under any circumstance.
It was pretty clear what the Dutch gameplan was. They had to get Spain off the ball somehow or they'd end up like Germany, and they decided to do it by being particularly physical. And it worked for 115 minutes. The fact only one dutch player was sent off could almost be called good management given the way they were playing was always going to result in a slew of cards!
Spain played the better football, created more, and deserved to win.

Oh, and none of this bagging the ref for dishing out all those cards. If you're going to dive into every second tackle, that's what you should expect. The ref did well to contain a potentially volatile situation - he would have been well within his rights to send off de Jong (for the karate kick) and Robben (lucky he didn't get a second yellow for booting the ball away), and 8 v 11 would have ended in a farce.

Quick fact: There was only team that left the 2010 World Cup unbeaten - the mighty ALL WHITES cheers

"Badminton Temporarily Black Cocks, now no official nickname"
HA!

intresting joe didn't realize they had a nickname for almost every sport

also looking at the Ice Blacks games I think they need goaltending
Serbia and Montenegro 20-2 NZ
Lithuania 21-2 NZ
Great Britain 26-0 NZ
Romania 52- 1 NZ(how is that even possible that's almost a goal a minute)
Australia 58-0 NZ(Again that's roughly 2 minutes without a goal)
