They'll be hosting the AFC Asian Cup next year (for the second time), and hosted the 2006 Asian Games. No reason to think they can't pull off the World Cup. Good luck to them!

They won because their bid was ambitious, and played on a lot of things that FIFA wants to see. Their bid was honestly really good, and the American bid didn't even plan for a new stadium, or even renovations, the Qatar bid brought some very special stuff to the table, and they one because of it. Say what you want, but I don't think they bought the vote.

I bet they could, but didnt they host in 2002 with Korea? Doesn't seem that long come to think of it. But maybe China Birds Nest, Shanghai Stadium, Workers Stadium, Qinhuangdao Olympic Sports Center Stadium,
Shenyang Olympic Sports Center Stadium, and Tianjin Olympic Center Stadium. Those would be good choices for them. But go USA!

Interestingly enough the Bids for the 42 cup were Brazil and Germany(aka Third Reich Germany) Germany Also had bid for the 38 Cup but received 0 votes. 50,54,58 all had 1 bid(although I think I read once that Brazil pretty much had it locked up no matter who bid as they did bid in 42 before having that cup canceled)

the 86 Bid was actually won by Colombia but Colombia withdrew after winning due to financial concerns Afterwards 3 nations bid for that open slot USA,Canada and Mexico. The US and Canada tied for second with 0 votes and Mexico received a unknown amount of votes in a unanimous decision.

in 94 the US beat out Morocco and Brazil.
