Re: NCAA Football Discussions
Well, the Big 12 has this revenue thing fixed up, TCU has left Big East to Big 12. Big 12 wants to stay at 10 teams? (We'll see about that) Missouri is going to stay at Big 12 next year and then think about SEC, that just tells me that the SEC doesn't want Missouri. The Big East wants Boise State? No way that'll happen. The Big East Football Conference is done, I don't see thier idea working.
I think later on the Big 12 will be knocking on Louisville's and Boise State's door. I really think the Big 12 needs 12 teams to really get back on track. Maybe if you want to get vreative, then you can go after WVU, SMU, BYU, or Cincinnati. (Cincy, to stay a BCS school, move your home games to Paul Brown Stadium, that will increase your revenue) If the SEC does not Mizzou, WVU, Louisville, and USF would make the most sense. Again, my thoughts could change with one piece of news. What do you all think?
UPDATE 10/14/11: CUSA and MWC merge football only, into a 22 Team Mega Conference. Wow, good luck getting that to work.

Yeah, JoePA. I hate to see his career end like this. He's such a great guy and coach.
As for Conference Relignment, Mizzou goes to SEC and WVU goes to Big 12.
What's next (my prediction):
-Big 12 adds Louisville, Boise State, BYU and Cincinnati. (Next year)
-Big East Football Conference dies and loses BCS bid
-MWC/CUSA takes BCS bid and USF
-Rutgers and UConn move to ACC.
GO LOUISVILLE, WIN THE BIG EAST!

Penn State Admins are making a very wrong decision... This would demoralize the football team and they have a high chance of losing to Nebraska on Saturday

Re: NCAA Football Discussions
I'm torn.... I think Nebraska is going to have more of a fight than they wanted, the stadium crowd (the fourth largest in the world, might I add) isn't going to be happy
I reluctantly think the university made the right decision, as sad as it may be, but putting all of that aside (in my eyes Joe didn't do anything wrong, Spanier did) I wished he would've just left at the end of the year as he planned.
Either way he's gone now...

Re: NCAA Football Discussions
If you want to predict the BCS championship game:
#2 Oklahoma State = gone
#4 Oregon = gone
#5 Oklahoma = gone
Gotta admit the duckies put up quite a fight at the end if you didn't see it.... but the atrocious first half (and the zebras) buried us :/

My BCS Championship Game prediction:
LSU vs Houston
NOTE: Houston is 13th and UNDEFEATED. Why not?
Lets see if Louisville can win the Big East at 7-5.

Re: NCAA Football Discussions
Good reasoning.... it's just too bad Houston isn't in a BCS conference. I hope they do get one of the BCS bowls with the at-large spot. Like the Orange Bowl or something.Wacky32 wrote:NOTE: Houston is 13th and UNDEFEATED. Why not?
I wonder what the score would be if they did play LSU

Re: NCAA Football Discussions
Houston is 8th in the BCS now not 13th btw
and as for my feelings on who'll be in the final game
LSU v Alabama
I really feel a playoff is needed more so than ever but even that would cause issues as a major conference would be left out as it stands right now and another would only see 1 in and another would land 3 in the playoffs with 2 non auto schools n the playoffs.
if the playoffs went off the way it looks right now
#1 LSU v #8 Houston
#2 Alabama v #7 Boise State
#3 Arkansas v #6 Stanford
#4 Oklahoma State v #5 Virginia Tech
Pretty intriguing matchups

Re: NCAA Football Discussions
I'm doing something sort of what canuck used to do for the NFL thing, only it's for the bowls. I want to see what you think is going to happen in one of the most wonderful times of the year.
These are in order of when they are played. The nearest bowl (New Mexico) is first while the one farthest away on the calendar (Championship) is last on the list.
Temple and Wyoming (Gildan New Mexico Bowl)
Ohio and Utah State (Famous Idaho Potato Bowl)
San Diego State and Louisiana Lafayette (R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl)
Florida International and Marshall (Beef O Brady's Bowl of St. Petersburg)
Texas Christian and Louisiana Tech (San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl)
Arizona State and Boise State (MAACO Bowl of Las Vegas)
Nevada and Southern Mississippi (Sheraton Hawaii Bowl)
Missouri and North Carolina (AdvoCare v100 Independence Bowl)
Western Michigan and Purdue (Little Caesars Bowl)
Louisville and North Carolina State (Belk Bowl)
Toledo and Air Force Academy (Northrop Gunman Military Bowl)
California and Texas (Bridgeport Education Holiday Bowl)
Florida State and Norte Dame (Champs Sports Bowl)
Washington and Baylor (Valero Alamo Bowl)

Re: NCAA Football Discussions
Go Louisville!
BTW, Boise, SDSU, Houston, SMU, and UCF will join Big East in 2013.
(Louisville go to the SEC or Big 12)
