Hello and welcome to NTV\'s coverage of the 2009 Winter Simlympic games in York Rorysville, I\'m Roger Cormier. For the next 13 days NTV will have unprecedented coverage of the games from here in our studio in the heart of downtown York. The Novland team has arrived here just today finishing training in Kailihamer yeasterday and we have the Alpine skier Alex Relaunt in the studio and we will talk to him later in the brodcast. But now we take you live to Cymon Laurin who is in Lillinhammer for an announcement by the NSC (Novland Simlympic comity), Cymon?
Yes thank you Roger the announcement is about to begin and this is to announce which Novland city will bid for the August games. The cities of Rajavick, Hasa la Vea and Traja were all bidding. And we now bring you live to the announcement.
-(Yohan Krios President of the NSC)- Thank you all for coming, The cities of Rajavick Hasa la Vea and Traja all bid for the chance to bid for the August games, We can only choose one. It was very close and i thank all bidding cities. I will now open the envelope and announce the winning city...
The city to bid for the August games for the nation of Novland is....Rajavick!-
Well there you have it Rodger, Rajavick will be bidding for August!
Great news Cymon, As always great talking to you.

Re: NTV York 2009 Winter Simlympic coverage
Well we are too days away now from what is sure to be the biggest event in winter sport history, Hi im Rodger Cormier broadcasting live from the NTV studios here in downtown York. With us tonight we have Ski Jumper Kailin Kajjank and we will be talking to him a little later in the show. But now we bring you to Mark Nuslan at Simlympic Stadium to find out a little more about the Opening Ceremony, Mark?
-Thanks Rodger, The opening ceremony promises to be a spectacular event, 66,000 people will pack into this stadium behind me for what some say will be the best opening in Simlympic history. The Rorysville government has spent an estimated 200 million dollars on the event and 5 acts are preforming such as Metric, Peter Gabriel and Rush. 50 million was spent on fireworks and 3700 performers have been training for over a year. But as always most facts on the opening have been kept secret so we will just have to wait for Sunday, Rodger?
-Thank you Mark, Mark Nusland at the Simlympic Stadium at the York Simlympic village. We will be right back after this break...

Re: NTV York 2009 Winter Simlympic coverage
One of the big things we have been enjoying so far here in York is the Winter Carnival. All around us there are tents full restaurants and plenty of things to do. The Festival runs from the 6th till right up to the start of the winter games on the 15th. Some of the highlights of the festival so far were of coarse the crashed ice race which was very exciting to watch and the snowmobile races which were quite the spectacle. About 800 thousand people have come to this festival and it all started back in 1983.
We will have more NTV coverage after this break...

KL-It was amazing, To hear the national anthem play it was the greatest moment in my life
RC-Im sure it was, Now you have been training for this event for the past year now, How was that?
KL-Well with the new Go For Gold program we really have the funding we need for training so it went really well, I think you will be seeing a lot more medals thanks to that program
RC-For those who don't know what that is the Go For Gold program is a 200 million dollar investment in amateur sports for training and facility's, How have you been treated in public with that medal around your neck?
KL-Well its like im a celebrity, I went to a restaurant downtown earlier today and a flock of people gathered around me asking me questions and touching the medal and all that stuff so its relay been great
RC-Well thank you very much for coming on the show
KL-Thank you for having me
