Hmmm, allegiance to the North makes me want to say Manchester, but London cannot be compared as a city...

Philadelphia or Baltimore?
Philadelphia or Baltimore?
Re: Which city?
Philly all the way baby; greatest city on earth. Where else can you find the history, the love, the food, and the culture of Philladelphia. From the streets outside the Wachovia center, Lincoln Finacial Field, and Citzens Bank Park to the lawn outside the constitution center and independence hall Philly is the perfect mix of new and old.
What other city is as blue colar as it's residence you don't hear about multi billion dolar residents of Philly you hear about the guys just getting by but making a living just the same. You got the great blue colar hero's of Philly in everone who calls that place home.
Then there is the cheese steak; the salty peppers and onions, the soft bread, the creamy cheese, its the greates culinary sensation in the world; go to Jims! best cheese steak in Philly.
Sure it's got the highest obesity rate of any city in the world! but that's what makes it great; it's a bunch of workers who enjoy steak too much; is that such a problem? If anything it makes Philly real, it's got real people!
And what about those sport teams baby?! Phillies 2008 WS Champions, in the series this year (and I have tickets to the game thursday in NY), you got the Eagles who were down and out last year; bench there starting QB and go to the NFC championship game, or even the year they end up with a back up Garcia in and go to the NFC championship game, and then the Flyers the hard nose Orange and Black have the longest home sell out streak of any sport team in the USA! Philly teams are hard nose and rough and tough and we love it.
Where else can you find the history of the US so compact! Not even DC has the history that Philly has, the Declaration of independence was signed there, the constitution was written there, it was the first capital of the USA! You have Ben Franklin's grave, Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, the still brand new Constitution center! Only in Philly baby
Sure Baltimore is good; they have Poe; the tall ships in the harbor and 'ace of cakes' but they're nothing to the great city of Philadelphia.
I Philly
How bout a battle of the New England Small cities?
Providence RI, or Springfield MA?

Re: Which city?
to counter that
Baltimore is Full of History just as much as Philly, Go to Fells Point for great Culture and Food the Inner Harbour as a whole is a great Clutural/Food Spot. I hate Cheese it makes me gag so Philly Loses as Baltimore has Chesapeake Bay Crabs and Crab Cakes.
Blue Collar Pittsburgh,Detroit take those over philly in my books lol.
I'm not a fan of any Philly sports team lol(hate most of them).
ok onto yours
Providence,RI I loved my time there Springfield was nie but away from the Armory eh that was about it. Providence was nice with the Riverfront and the Seafood I had was well great lol.
hmmmmm Lemme do 2 Michigan Cities
Grand Rapids,MI or Sault Ste. Marie,MI

Re: Which city?
This marks the end of the long discussions on reasons for choosing I'm afraid. I know next to nothing about most medium sized US cities.
So... I'll go with Grand Rapids.
Brussels or Brugge?
