July Results & PAS Discussion Empty July Results & PAS Discussion

Post by Slacker Tue Jul 28, 2009 3:24 am

We made quite a few changes to the Simlympics and I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts on them:

- The more advanced and detailed results (Good? Bad?)
- Higher number of events (Too many? Not enough?)
- PAS (Better than before? Any changes you'd like?)

If you want to discuss something I haven't mentioned, feel free to bring that up too Smile.

Thanks.

- The more advanced and detailed results (Not good, but exceptional !!!)
- Higher number of events (Very good, hope for even more in the future - men and women)
- PAS (It's great, I don't want changes)

The more advanced and detailed results (Good? Bad?)
I like it. It tell us whether we have a chance of getting a medal or not.

Higher number of events (Too many? Not enough?)
It's just right. And I agree with Matt, it's best if we have men's and women's events.

PAS (Better than before? Any changes you'd like?)
It better than before definitely.

I liked it a lot. You certainly got into the games a lot more

Higher number of events (Too many? Not enough?)
Just Perfect. But like Matt and Aranho suggested we need womens and mens.
PAS (Better than before? Any changes you'd like?)

Maybe we could add the sports that are selected in the 121st IOC Session.

I'm quite pleased with all three of the things being asked about. These Games felt a whole lot more realistic than in the past.

Well, I sent in my PAS and I got less medals than someone who didn't send his in... I just find that rather strange. ;p (I'm happy with my result though).

We've been doing a lot of analysing of the results and in particular the effect PAS had on them, and on the whole nations who submitted PAS did better than nations who didn't. Although of course, due to the random nature of sport this will never be a 100% thing and depends on a number of factors including popularity of said sports, number of competitors etc.

We're not aiming to give people who didn't submit PAS a disadvantage though.
