Re: The introduction thread!
well I'm far from new but to keep this in the light and going
Hello out there
Hello out there
Re: The introduction thread!
Gidday All
I am new to the Sim CIty Community however I have been an addict since the first Sim City. I am now 24 and I remember playing the first one when I was just 6 (Although back then I did not understand municipial economics).
This sport site interested me, so now I am curious about a couple of things;
1. How do I take part in the sports, I know I have to sign on but I am curious about the actual competing.
2. I noticed in the simlympic page it allows you to say what sports you are good at, is there a limit to what you could say on that page???
I might have more questions later but for now these are my questions.

Re: The introduction thread!
For the Simlympic question I think that you can point out or the sports in which the nation in which you live is favorite, or to play of imagination and to point out the sports that you like the most, the assignment of the medals is random but I think that Slaker or the ISC will keep in mind what we write

Re: The introduction thread!
welcome to the site as for being involved in sports all you have to do is sign up most of the leagues will have signup pages(I know the STHL,SCFL,asnd SLB all did) the way it works is someone simulates the games and posts results(in the case of the STHL select games will now be viewable online)
feel free to ask questions someone will always answer(correctly, smart assed or not somehow you'll get an answer)

Re: The introduction thread!
Thanks Guys
I am thinking of entering teams in the STHL, SCFL, Sim Calico and the SLB. I love my sports and would like to be involved in the Sim City Universe. I will post a Journal up soon, Just want to develop my city first as I am embarrassed to show my city as it looks horrible compared to the ones I have seen in the journal.
p.s. Thanks for the welcome guys, I can tell I would like it here.

Re: The introduction thread!
Welcome Bindie! Everyone seems to have answered your questions pretty well, but I'll give it a shot too:
1) As Canuck said, each sport has it's own sign up procedure but they're all pretty straight forward and explained well. As for competing, again it's a sport by sport basis. Most sports do the results randomly and thus require no input from the participants. Others have rooster systems and such which require more input, but it'll all be explained in the appropriate sections.
Over the coming weeks I'm really going to make a push to get all the main sports here and working well together .
2) No limit at all, it's purely for fun and has no effect on the medals you may or may not win.
And good luck with your city building skills, I experienced the same feeling of shock when I first discovered custom content, city journals and the like but the more you play around with it the better you'll get at it. Although don't be afraid to post your CJ if it's not perfect either as we can help you out by giving you suggestions .

Re: The introduction thread!
Hi folks!
The name's Zane. In the past I have been the official simlympic vice president and head of public relations. Although I have not been active for over a year now, my schedule has decreased to an enormous extent over the last two weeks, and I plan to again become involved in the Simlympic program.
Slacker, Canuck, ISC committee - I hope you will have me back.
Regards,
Zane Friedman

Welcome to the site Engorn . Mi casa es su casa, so to speak haha. (That's the limit of my spanish unfortunately )
Yeah, this thread is a little dead. Not sure why though, we always seem to be getting new members... strange.
Ah, sorry 'bout that - your english seems excellent though. Let me know if there's anything you need help with and I'll be happy to give you a hand.

Re: The introduction thread!
Lacrosse is a fun game. Glad to see your interest in the STLL, however I'm sorry to say the league is full. But the STLL developement league is open, it is the minor league version of the STLL.
