Re: The leaving/returning thread
Flights do sound ridiculous in America compared with here in Europe, which is especially ridiculous considering how much more you guys are supposed to use them.
For instance, I can get a flight pretty much anywhere in Europe for under €100 with cheap carriers like EasyJet. Plus I could get the train to most places in Northern Europe pretty quickly (Paris 2hrs 15, Brussels 2hrs, Amsterdam 4hrs etc) and for not that much more.

Re: The leaving/returning thread
See your lucky. I would find that a STEAL! It costs $74 at a minimum to fly Southwest Airlines from Providence (T.F. Green) to Orlando where my uncle lives... And that's not round trip! Although it cost 100 bucks easy to travel greyhound to Orlando from Boston. Heck! If you take a lucky star bus from Boston to New York city it costs $10 bucks. You just have to be creative with your travel plans!
Cannuck. You COULD take a greyhound bus from Detroit to Manchester NH for $66 bucks!

Yeah cheap flights rock.
Just looked online for the fun of it, I could fly from London to Rome for £29 in mid-September. So that's 1400km for under $50 lol .

Re: The leaving/returning thread
jcool I could but i won't for many reasons
1-it'll take longer to get there than me driving.
2-I'll need a Rental Car
3-I've never been fond of greyhound
i did look at amtrack but paying for a rentalcar just seems to squash it whe your unemployed and out of money(cause unemployment takes 6-8 weeks to kick in hence my losing of my apartment)
and yeah I know mike your flights are crazy low within europe To fly from Detroit to alot of places requires connections American, Southwest,Continental, Spirt,United all fly in but don't havvery many direct flights. Deta/Northwest is a major carrier here as we're a major hub for them. We also see Flights from Air France,Royal Jordanian,Luftansa, and we used to see British Airways and JAL(since have stopped their service here).
When i flew to Philly for a job interview it was on southwest and went like this
DTW(Detroit Metro)-MDW(Chicago Midway)
MDW-PHL(Philly)
then returned on the same route that flight cost 450 bucks for one day of travel.
I'm happy my truck gets good milage on the highways cause it makes things cheaper

after having internet in the hotel I returned home to michigan to not have internet in the house and unlike my apartment there isn't anyone to jack free wifi off of at the house lol. So I've been without internet except for this moment where I'm sitting in a parking lot jacking internet off of the local rink lol
ok so an Update I'll hopefuly have internet in the next day or so at my mom's new condo
also update I'm moving out to new hampshire so there will come a time when I'm without at the end of the month.
carry on all I shall return lol

Re: The leaving/returning thread
one of these days the thing about slacker and reward if found will be replaced with Canuck lol
Re: The leaving/returning thread
I won't be around for a few days (Sunday to Thursday) because I have to stay in my new university doing an orientation thingy, and I don't want to bring my computer =/ My sister did this a couple of years ago and said it was great fun (making it VERY clear to bring money for alcohol)
I'm hoping for some major bid updates while I'm gone

I've been back awhile now (a week) but I figure I should say that i'm back
Re: The leaving/returning thread
I've been back here now for a couple days... I left to take care of my website for awhile, but now I'm back
Re: The leaving/returning thread
Hey guys. I'm afraid from now on I won't be posting on this forum. I've had a great time here and your one of the tightest knit communities I've come across and I'm glad to have been a part of it. I'm going through a very busy period of my life, as I head into university and all the things that come with that. Unfortunately this leaves me no time for things like SSLR and SSRF. THis upsets me because I had a great time doing those things and participating in the simlympics etc.. SO thanks for having me and may this site live long and prosper!
