Winter Sports Pack
Ok so Mike has brought this up and I thought it was a good Idea
A pack for Bidders to be able to get almost all the stuff they'll ever need to host a Winter Games
Whats needed?
So far
Sliding Track - In Progress
Ski-Jump Ramp - In progress, philly
Start Gates
Finish Lines
Portable Stands - In progress, philly
Small Stadiums
Gates (IE-the flags on a ski course)
Speed Skating Oval
Shooting Point for Biathalon
Snowboard Halfpipe
Plopable Moguls and Jumps (Still needed?)
Snow Mod - I know of 2 one's at SimPeg's
Chair Lifts - there is a set at www.toutsimcity.com
maybe some more Smaller Arenas
What I think we should do is include it in a nice zip with the Files or the Links to said Files. Along with that a guide for Bidders Just last Night I had o help Philly figure ut how to bid cause he didn't understand you can have the Games in 2 spots(city for indoor/Mountain for Outdoor).
any other thought's Suggestions? feel free to post away

Re: Winter Sports Pack
Amazing idea .
We're practically allowing people to create a winter bid by downloading just one file. Not only that, but I imagine this thing is going to be fairly popular, having the word 'Simlympics' in the title as well as a couple of docs on the games could be potentially excellent.
I think that list is great. We need to compile a list of pre-existing BATs, so we can contact the owners asking their permission to include their BAT in the pack. We'll have to be careful with things like dependencies too.
Guide for bidders is definitely a good idea.
Information on the Winter Simlympics, where to sign up etc.

We'll also need a logo/cover design for the pack - Joe?

I took the liberty of announcing the pack .
And announcing that I'll announce details during my closing speech on the 18th .
Thunderbirds are go go go!

Re: Winter Sports Pack
Max is hopefully mass PMing a load of BATers today and tomorrow.
Canuck, am I okay leaving you to get permission from the chairlifts, snow mods and any other BATs we need to include them in the pack?

Re: Winter Sports Pack
absoulutly please do I'm at a bit of a hardship withot full internet all the time
also moguls aren't really terraformable as there'd be more than one per square more likely 4 or 5 per square

Re: Winter Sports Pack
Excellent, all coming along swimmingly . Good work guys.
Here's philly's work:
Ski Jump
Stand set
He's working on different pieces so they can be joined together. These will come in soooo handy for the Simlympics too. Equestrian/archery anybody?
