Too many sports?

Are there too many professional sports being played in your country, all vieing for attendance etc?
In Australia we have too many I think, we have
AFL football
VFL
Soccer football
Rugby Union
Rubgy League
Basketball
Netball
Cricket local
Cricket regional
Cricket state
21million people can't sustain this many sports

We are 21 millions too 
and we have:
Many soccer divisions
Handball
Volleyball
Basketball
Rugby

Hmm, the UK is alright I think:
Football (HUGE)
Cricket
Rugby
Those are the main 3, other sports also feature such as Tennis, Athletics and others.
