Re: New Chandler III
The Regal District swarms the New Chandler City CBD to the south. It is one of the many cultural centers in New Chandler, with beautiful facades and colorful walls. Many buildings here also have courtyards.
A night picture.
As you can see, the Regal District ends at a wall of skyscrapers. The CBD.
Most of the Regal District looks something like this.
Regal Park.
A view of the BankNC Arena. This is at the south end of the district.
This view shows a mosque and a swimming center nearby the arena.
Random shots...
I'll leave this entry with a mosaic. It's a 1378x2946 jpeg.

I have no idea why the Staples center works perfectly for that district but it does, great job using that in the area.

Re: New Chandler III
Thank you very much for a great year city journaling, I got a trixie because of it! I couldn't have done it without the people who have followed me from the beginning.
Here is a short fireworks show from the Regal District in New Chandler City for Christmas.
I would suggest going to Youtube and watching this in HD, by the way, instead of the little player thing. I am very sorry for the poor sound quality

Fireworks: Ooh...aah....ooooooh....aaah...
Video: Very nice recollection. If I did one, it'd be very, very, very looooong.

This weekend will feature the city of Galanos, a simply splendid city full of lights and parks. I'm setting my expectations higher than ever, but until then, I'll tease you...

Galanos looks very calm, almost too serene for a city...anyway...I love the parks and foliage.

Re: New Chandler III
I've been playing with GIMP a little bit. I'm personally most impressed with myself with the train station (look at the signs) and the arena (scoreboard and court). Also, this entry (in city journal sections, not in AIFF bidding sections) has an optional voting portion! Enjoy!
Winchester is bidding to host the International Futsal League (IFL) All-Star Game. The logo is the IFL logo against the New Chandler colors.
The game would take place in the New Chandler National Futsal Center. Although it is relatively small, it is by far the most suitable venue for this event.
Arena logo.
Arena picture.
Going inside...
The court.
The arena is located in southern Winchester, in the Kensington District. This name was chosen by Benedict on Simtropolis a very long time ago.
The Canal Riviera Hotel, operated by Westin, is where athletes would stay for the event. It is adjacent to the Winchester Athletics Annex (where the arena is).
The Winchester Castle is once where the Spanish Crown's oversighter of the Gigá province ruled and lived. Now, it is a museum.
This is a work-in-progress image of a highway interchange next to the Winchester Athletics Annex.
Here is a picture of the complex. Notice in the two corners glimpses of the Winchester Garden Arena and the New Chandler National Futsal Center. Although the Winchester Garden Arena normally holds more people than the Futsal Center, it is usually configured in a soccer/american football/baseball formation, and a futsal configuration would end up having a smaller capacity than the National Futsal Center. In the middle of the picture is the subway station.
An inside view of the state-of-the-art subway station. On your left side of the platform are trains leading to the Central Core, on the right are trains heading north to Ashton. A digital board displays how far away the trains are from arriving.
For my city journals, I have a section where YOU SHOULD VOTE! Parking lots are all over the Winchester Athletics Annex. However, residents in Kensington want to see more colorful apartments instead of parking lots. After the event would take place, should the community...
Option A: Keep the parking lots. Parking is very important in a location like this one.
Option B: Build the apartments. More residents and colorful apartments would make the Kensington District look more pretty.
Option C: Build some of the apartments planned, but keep some parking lots. Although the drabby lots would still be there, there would still be a little splash of color.

Re: New Chandler III
Option D-Build the apartments and build underground parking garages and possibly an above ground one.
Re: New Chandler III
A- Parking lots are way too important in a stadium area, unless you have a place to put more lots I would keep them it should be about functionality not what looks pretty

Re: New Chandler III
We're back! I haven't got anywhere close to all the plugins I need to fully operate into my folder yet, but I managed to pull off this entry.
Welcome to NC III!
You can't get a more picturesque picture than a flight over the reefs around the small island town of Phoebe.
Most people are pretty wealthy to vacation in Phoebe. Most vacationers rent houses on the island, however, the Ritz is also an option.
Some shots of the town.
Around Phoebe are reefs home to millions of species of animals, plants, and then some. (flying above is a seaplane that didn't turn out too well)
That island above is home to three large mansions.
Many docks are around the houses. The massive estates are mostly used for beach parties, however, renters can stay in one for a hefty price.
Well, now you can enjoy the sunset.
The sunset above a rocky outcrop.
and in Phoebe.
I'm glad to finally be back! Hope you liked the update!

Great! Can you tell me the names of some of the species that live there? (I love biology and that sort of stuff)

CLICK ON IMAGES FOR FULL SIZE! (they are around 1380 pixels wide each, and they are all .jpeg's, much better than the cruddy ones you get on the forums!)
Rockaway is a city of colors and passion.
A city of colorful buildings, short to tall.
A city of high spirits and fun times, all year long.
It's a city known for color, from the smallest houses...
....to the tallest skyscrapers.
Easter Sunday is imminent, the holiest day in a Christian's mind. The Rockaway Cathedral is expected to have major lines around the block to get in tomorrow morning (yes, I have been to a church where this has happened. I am inspired people!)
Get there by taking a train from Hortaleza Park Station, accessible by taking an underground tunnel under a freeway interchange from a bus stop on Hortaleza Avenue.
Or take a ride back home....
Whats that? You want a nighttime tour?
(btw, I am going to uninstall the Uniform Lighting Mod. With my lighting technique I already had, the ULM made the streets much too bright. Sorry about this.)
The cathedral, one day before Easter.
Downtown Rockaway, the iconic finishing touch in the pristine coastal valley.
Thanks for viewing this entry, hope to see you soon!
