New Chandler III

I'll start with a mosaic of Lake Martinazzi, one of the nine lakes in the Heritage Lakes National Park in Benham. Martinazzi is the second-smallest in the expansive park, but is nestled in a lush valley in New Chandler's highest mountain range, the Cameron Range.

The mosaic is a little bit on the pixelated side, sorry about that.



The lake has rocky shores...


And just as many sandy ones.


This place has plenty of natural wildlife, just like the rest of the area.


Martinazzi has got places to cook some s'mores on a summer night, after a short day fishing, hiking, and plenty more.


This location, far from the biggest cities, is a favorite for spotters of shooting stars (or "static" ones), whether you are in the meadow, a boat in the lake (my preferred spot), or a little but well-functional observatory.

Welcome back to Rockaway. Today, we are going to take a ride on the Rockaway Metro line C3. Rockaway Metro operates the rail lines in the city and those in the countryside and smaller towns on the outside, in the province of Hollister, known as the Provincial lines, beginning with the "P" prefix. In the city they act as express lines.

We will start at Dalorpe Park, a major station in a forest of new apartments. The train will head toward the city, crossing a freeway near its end.


Hawthorne Station, another rather popular station.


Segundo Road is near a stadium used for some college and high school matches, usually championship games in tournaments. It can also act as a fairground.


Crossing the River Theed....


Hortaleza Park Station, a station in the middle of a very important and expansive freeway interchange near the downtown. The C7 line will also join us here.


We then cross over another freeway, and, still on the viaduct, weaves through Downtown Rockaway.


Nearing the big station now.... a promotional banner for the Simlympics hosted by Insulo has been draped across a building too...


The Vera Evans International Terminal, home of plenty of city rail lines and provincial rail lines, but also serves plenty of lines proceeding well into other states, many going much farther than New Chandler City, which is seven hours away from Rockaway.


Olmstead Avenue is near a high school, hotel, and industrial district being replaced by colorful apartments (like the Pearl District in Portland).


This station serves a small mall, Corbin Square.


Logics Avenue, a major road leading into an industrial district, which the C5 will enter, leaving the track we (the C3) are on.


Union Square, a small cluster of new offices and sporting venues. The baseball stadium was recently used in the SIBF Baseball World Cup.


Ramsay Avenue crosses an under-construction freeway. The provincial line makes a stop here.


The University of Rockaway station serves one of two campuses of U of R, as well as the stadium that is home of Rockaway United FC during NCFL games (during DPL (international) games they have a different venue).


Seaview Avenue, near another freeway and the end of the line...


Finally, Holladay Station, the end of the line. On the other side of the avenue is the blue waters of the Solvanese Ocean (and a few hotels). What a nice ride.

Just a really small update, especially for me... I'm going to make a bigger one, one transportation based, in the near future. I'm also going to be photoediting a lot more on that entry


New Chandler City. By far the largest city in the country. And by far the most alive.


It's also the national capital and the capital of the United Soverign Nations union.


It's a pretty place, of flowing commerce....


A place of tranquility and fun....


And, of course, blinding lights.

Twilight City is a small resort town in the Solvanese Ocean. Though small resort towns are more popular with tourists from New Chandler, they do attract a few international visitors as well.


On the southwest tip of the island is the ferry port, where most of the hotels are. There is also a stadium, home of Twilight City FC. It's the smallest stadium for a NCFL top-tier team. Most visitors watch their own team play the weak Twilight City squad.




The rich and the retired might have a house on this island.






The top of the mountainous island boosts a few small (but expensive) homes and a tourist trap: the observatory.


The hotels are where most of the lights are on this island. Electricity is up to capacity here, so streetlights are only where they need to be.

I am trying my hand at my first city that will be, for the most part, completely made by the lot editor. I am making pieces for lower-wealth shantytowns and comparatively higher-wealth yet traffic infested areas with Latin, or Insulonian, culture.

I plan on making 14-20 different lots. These are two of them, both having a market closed to traffic on one street. Tell me what you think or if you have any ideas, I would greatly appreciate it

Well, here we are, update forty!



Darlington City is a coastal city that gets slammed with monsoon weather this time of year. The result is a saturated, damp, and depressing environment for days in a row.


At the Darlington City FC Stadium, things are quiet. People drive around the stone streets to get to a freeway entrance should they need it.


The last plane for the night has just hit the slippery runway at Darlington-Cassidy International.


The other side of the airport.


It never matters how much land you own, the weather owns it all in late October.


The hum of the power plant keeps the town lit throughout the night.


Sorry this was sort of a rushed and short update, expect a much bigger Darlington City update soon

The last time we visited Darlington City, we only visited one thin side of it. We're now going to see both the downtown and the side we previously saw.... both in daylight.
We'll start in familiar territory with the airport.


The power plant.


Now we're in new content, starting with the Posilliponian District.


The Darlington Forum holds 12,000 people. It's positioned right next to Huesal Square just outside of downtown. (a place where you could very well be seeing some new year's action)


There are lots of condominiums, apartments, and lofts around Huesal Square.


The Marquam High District is on the foothills of the Starlene Mountains.


The Marquam Low District is mainly composed of Marquam University.


Pineda Stadium is a dominant landmark just north of the CBD.


The small but tall CBD lies between the western suburbs, the Huesal apartments, Pineda Stadium, and Marquam University.


It's incomplete and it's got a few glitches (brown boxes, abandonment, etc.) but just so you get a general idea, this is the region view.

Hope you liked the update, sorry I didn't do one on Spaulding if you were on a forum that saw the teaser of it (if you didn't, it was to be a small and very American-styled farm town, but it didn't really fit into New Chandler's tropical ideas).

Canuck I hate to do this to you with as much help as you've given me, but I can't find it I am 100% sure it was on Simtropolis and I'm 90% sure Jasoncw made it, but I'm having no luck searching. I'll keep looking though.

Just a small update in time for the new years. On some other day, I plan on doing a transportation update where we drive down that highway you'll see from here, through the Central Core, all the way to the Simlympic Park, which is a 3 large city tile distance.

Here's the Highway 317, which, during weekdays, is a lot more difficult to commute than it is now.


The Streets of Burlesque shopping center, about a mile south of Highway 317.


What Burlesque looks like now is, as the name suggests, exquisite, with new buildings and lofts for the growing population of the largest city in the hemisphere. This is the first of two mosaics for this update.


However, if you noticed at the top of the picture, it wasn't always that way. A few industrial buildings prove a stark contrast to a different history story.


Across the freeway, DeKalb University and DeKalb Preperatory High School (the latter is in the top left corner) is a hit with students with the grades to attend the private school, due to it's close proximity to the resplendent Central Core.


School sports are a keystone in New Chandlerite culture; both play in the Don Garote Stadium across the freeway.


And one more mosaic to end it off, going down the Paseo de Jardínas (Corridor of Gardens).
