Re: torch relay | day four | barnanova
Welcome to the fourth leg of the torch relay for the Games of the XIII Simlympiad! The whole Principality of Barnanova has been expecting this day and it's finally here. After having followed closely the three previous legs of the Torch Relay, the Barnanovese are ready for this event!
The fourth leg of the Simlympic Torch Relay begins in Barnanova - Mediterranean airport, where the airplane coming from Linktoria has landed some some minutes ago.
From the plane, the Torch is taken to a ferry on the airport's ferry terminal. The torch will hit the City of Barnanova by sea, passing in front of two Barnanovese boroughs. There are lots of people on the beaches!
The Relay will follow this route:
It will be divided in four sections, and the Torch taken by the winners of medals on the latest Simlympics. With only five medalists, they all can take the Torch for a while.
Finally, the ferry arrives to Two Avenues Ferry Terminal, and the first athlete can take the Torch. She is Sara Núñez, bronze medal on the XII Simlympics in Womens Swimming 400m Individual Medley and first Simlympic medal winner on Barnanova's history.
The Relay takes West Grand Avenue and heads to the City center.
The Central Library has get ready for the Relay, and all readers and users are now in the street!
Now, the Simlympic Torch is taken by the fencing épée mens national team, winners of a bronze medal on Sarnia City XII Simlympics. They seem to be very excited!
The Relay is entering now in the Old Town, taking North Avenue from Tower Circle. There's a lot of people on the streets here.
On Cemetery Circle, the relay has taken Parliament Avenue and reached Barnanova Square, the very first city center between the Cathedral and North Station; one of the most important spots on the nation. Here, our Prime Minister will give a brief speech.
After that emotive speech, wrestlers David Petrucci and Pere Fernández, bronce and silver medal winners respectively in mens greco-roman on Sarnia City Simlympics, take the Torch and go south along Market Avenue.
The Barnanovese wrestling team was one of the biggest surprises of the latest Simlympics, bringing two medals. The slogan "What do this guys have for breakfast?" became rapidly popular on the nation.
After Market Circle, the Relay takes East Grand Avenue and heads to the CBD, passing in front of several embassies and goverment departments.
Now, the torch is taken by the BMX rider Lorena Gavaldà, gold medal winner in the XII Simlympics and first gold medal winner for Barnanova in all its history. In a single day, an absolutely unknown athlete became famous nationwide and now is deemed to be one the most influential sportswomen in Barnanova.
An special device has been built on Gavaldà's bike to hold the Simlympic Torch and, at the same time, allow her to do some tricks for the crowds.
Finally, we reach the penultimate stop on the Relay, King's Mills Station, where the Torch is going into a train that will take the Barnanovese Simlympic Comitee members to the Ixterconnections Stadium, where the final act of the Torch Relay will be hold.
As we can see, the stadium is absolutely full now, everybody waiting for the athletes and the comitee members to make their apperance and their speeches.
After all this, the Torch will take off by helicopter to its new destination, Atridea; but the party will go on in the former airport esplanade where some Barnanovese and international music bands will be playing all night long.
Finally, thank you all for having watched the Simlympic Torch Relay on Barnanova Television and Barnanova Television HD. Good afternoon! Bona Tarda!

Re: torch relay | day four | barnanova
Nice job! BTW, Olympic Airlines is was the Flag Carrier airline of Greece and is now called Olympic Air, since 2009 Nothing to do with the Olympics
Re: torch relay | day four | barnanova
@philly_boy: Yes, I know it is the flag carrier from Greece, but I didn't know what airline to show, so I thought: "If there existed an official carrier for the torch, it would be Olympic Airlines (now Olympic Air)" so I simply put it there.
Thanks for pointing this, though.
