may be but still no comparison to what Rich Rod has done to Michigan
I honestly had to look it up but the last time Michigan had under 6 wins was 1967 and the last time they had under 7 wins was 1984 on average they ran 9-2/9-3 again no comparison not trying to sound arrogant here but facts are facts Louisville wasn't ever at the level that Michigan was for it to be considered in as bad of shape

But I am very proud of Dixon, he is (for now) the starting quarterback for a good team, the Steelers. I just think he isn't used to running the spread like he did in Oregon.

he isn't the starter yet he got his chance and looked horrible Leftwich aint much better either so for the first 4 or 6 games the Steelers are going to have to hope that Mendenhall and the D can carry them until Ben get's back because Batch,Leftwich,Dixon isn't the answer

Just got done watching it the Big Ten announced it's 2011 Divisional Alignment

DIV(TBD)
Michigan
Michigan State
Nebraska
Iowa
Minnesota
Northwestern
DIV(TBD)
Ohio State
Penn State
Illinois
Indiana
Purdue
Wisconsin

with that all teams will play 8 conference(5 DIV,2 Rotating Crossover,1 Guarenteed Crossover)
Michigan v OSU will remain intact and at the end of the regular season
Minnesota v Wisconsin will also remain intact every year

I personally can't wait for next season already lol. And this won't be the end of expansion the Big 10 will likely expand to 16 in the next 5 years The Big12 will become no more as the SEC,Pac10 and Big10 are all after their teams.

I hope the Big 12 survives, it does too much for Kansas City, and to see the rooted rivalries developed here be split up would be sad, KU v MU is like a mini Super Bowl here, everyone watches it. I honestly couldn't imagine the Big 12 splitting up, it's one of the powerhouse conferences of the country. It's all pinning on Texas and Oklahoma, they leave, the house of cards falls in. I personally wouldn't watch college sports near as much if the Big 12 dissolved, this conference is much more interesting than anything I've seen out of all the overrated conferences out east and west. I hope the Big 12 leadership has something up their sleeve, because this is so important to this region's commerce, especially Kansas City. If they sell out then the likelihood of anything big being held in Plains States cities outside of Texas disappears.

I say another football conference im worried about is the Bog East, 16 in Basketball and 8 in football my suggestion is get rid of 2 teams from basketball DePaul and Notre Dame and grab Vriginia Tech and Memphis! If you want 2 more added to that bye bye Seton Hall and St Johns and add Florida Atlantic and Florida International.

And if that dont work UofL and UC to Big Ten, probably not, maybe Louisville, UC, WVU, and USF should form thier own conference with 4 others, if the Big East Football Conference folds.

Here is what is probably going to happen with the Pac-10 IMHO. If you want to comment on this feel free.
1-Oregon. Went to the rose bowl last year, play Arizona and Stanford at home.
2-Oregon State. Nearly went to the rose bowl last year, but lost to Oregon for the chance last year.
3-Arizona. Did very good last year, although they got the hell beaten out of them 33-zip by Nebraska in the PL Holiday Bowl.
4-Stanford. They have Andrew Luck and a powerful offense. I see them doing very well this year.
5-Southern California. Pete Carroll is gone, and they lost five conference games last year. Sorry Kirk Herbstreit, they aren't going to do much better.
6-California. They have started the year strong forever, but they always crash miserably by the fifth or sixth game. And then they just suck.
7-UCLA. Although they have one of the best schedules to ask for, they don't have one of the best teams.
8-Washington. Jake Locker is a great player, but he is really the only offense for UW. Huck the Fuskies, as they say in Oregon.
9-Arizona State. Last year they only won (in conference) against the two Washington teams. Ever since Rudy Carpenter left, ASU has been declining rapidly (in 2007 they were the co-champions, in 2008, they went 5-7. In 2009 then lost 7 in conference. Pattern?)
10-Washington State. Honestly, the school for the blind can beat WaZu. They wen't 1-11 last year, only beating Southern Methodist. I haven't even heard of Southern Methodist having a football team, if that tells you anything.

Does this sound logical? Idea

4 predictions for the SEC....

Alabama: I see maybe... 3 hiccup games? Florida is at home so HFA is always good, LSU in Baton Rouge might cause some problems as would the Iron Bowl... but that ones always a hard one Smile

Auburn: 3-9... I think I counted right.

Floridia: Probably upto 3 losses, Bama, LSU, Georgia

FINAL PREDICTION: Bama Wins... I don't think Florida has enough for um again. Plus...

The Huskers actually fit into the Big 10 better than Mizzou The Big Ten besides athletics requires universities to be in higher academic standings. Also Mizzou didn't want to join right away Nebraska jumped at the chance.

as to the other 4
I've heard so far
Rutgers
Missouri
Texas(also looking at PAC 10)
Maryland
Pitt
Notre Dame

now the reasons for some of them
Rutgers=NYC Metro Area which get's the Big Ten Network(A huge cash generator for the conference) into that TV Market
Maryland=DC/Baltimore TV Markets as well Maryland fits the academic profile perfectly
Texas=They actually attempted to join in the 80's and have been seriously looking at it only issue is getting the texas state legislature to allow only them as right now A&M and Tech have to go where Texas goes.On the TV end get's you Dallas,Houston and Austin Markets for the BTN
Notre Dame=Soon they'll be left out of the party and they'll have to join as Independants won't get into the big picture
Pitt=Geographically close to OSU/PSU and even Rutgers/Maryland if they were to join
Missouri=Just makes sense and also lands the St.Louis TV Market.

Theres been a few others but those are the ones I've been hearing the most

also look for Oklahoma possibly Texas Tech/AM top join the SEC

as to the Big12 their days are numbered with the likelyhood of the 4 super conferences you'll have a BSC Playoff for the National Title as you'll be able to get the 4 Conference Winners seeded into a Semi-Final/Final system

Wacky and all the youth here sad to say this but when thinking of anything in the world of sports think of one thing MONEY. Money is what drives and College FB is big Money. the 4 Super Conferences with a BCS Playoff would generate huge money imagine the top 4 squaring off in a 2 week playoff

using the current preseason rankings(excluding Florida who shares the conference with Bama and would likely be knocked out in the SEC Champioship)
Alabama v Texas
OSU v Boise State

with the winners advancing to the National Championship Game

I am confused why the WAC is a "super conference" I mean honestly, if Boise State loses one game, just one, they are probably out of the BCS, because they don't really play anybody that your average high school team couldn't beat either. I think a Pac-10 team should be there, after all the winner of the Pac-10 gets the Rose Bowl automatically (as well as the winner of the Big 10).

who said Boise would be in the WAC? and that was just purely for example using the preseason rankings if it had been purely by example by me OSU wouldn't have even been in there neither would've bama
