Re: NFL/NCAA Football Dissussion
Just ignore it Egd.
There comes a time when I still wish I lived in Detroit and now is one I;d fricken love to go see the game in Detroit tomorrow Tickets are FREE and first come first serve. Figures the first Monday Night game in the History of Ford Field doesn't even involve the Lions

I love the D I miss it every day. It gets a bad rap but it is truely a great place to live. The only reason I no longer live there is thanks to the economy.

I think many are probably in the same boat, when I was young my dad's company moved to Detroit from where we lived, we had an option to go but we decided to stay where we were rather than leave our friends and family.

K50? do we need to send a search party and put you on suicide watch? Sucks man I was pulling for the quack attack.
Re: NFL/NCAA Football Dissussion
Alright, you've probably all been waiting for me to say something.... so I'm going to start with a rant
That prick of a coach Gene Chizzik (however the hell you spell that) saying "we are the best team in the united states" on top of losing to that fluke of a run pretty much made it worse. Plus, whenever you see Cam Newton get the opportunity to boost his horrendous ego, it really puts you in a bad mood. The field was pretty much tying up knots in everyone's shoes (it was grown in Corvallis, where Oregon State is.... shocker) and, well, I could go on and on with excuses, but its no use now.
Kenny Rowe, Cliff Harris, and Casey Matthews on defense, and Jeff Maehl on offense, had the night of their lives tonight. Unfortunately, Darron Thomas and Chip Kelly out thought this game (just like the rose bowl) a bit too much and made some critical mistakes, slowing down our offense. Two touchdowns won't wen games. It was pretty much deja vu of the Rose Bowl; the other team played stellar, while you fell apart. It was sort of like Quinault beating the crap out of New Chandler
I hate to admit it, but Auburn did play better tonight. However, Oregon deserved it much more. I can't tell you how excited I am for next year

Re: NFL/NCAA Football Dissussion
Ok my take on the Michigan Coaching search which I'm sure you were all waiting to hear
If you were going to hire Hoke why wait till 1/11/11? You knew you wanted him you knew he wanted you. Why put us through this charade? Harbaugh was never going to come we knew that he wanted to go to the NFL. Miles ok he woulda came if we offered it but not for the money you offered so you were never serious. Patterson? seriously ok I get it just parade out so called interviews then hire your guy.
I like the hire just not the way we went about it. Hoke will be a great coach at Michigan he was part pf the National championship staff and recruted greatly at Michigan. He took Ball State and turned them around, Took a 2-10 SDSU squad and made them go 9-4 winning a bowl game. I hope his OC and DC choices turn out great.
My hopes for each
OC-Scot Loeffler
DC-Turklwitz? I honestly don't know maybe see if Ron English wants to step back maybe Jim Herman steps back to college? who knows jsut make it right and no 3-3-5 Defense for the love of god.
