Re: Sim Sports League of Rugby (Weeks 1-3)
This week saw two sets of games, both the midweek Supporters Shield First Round and, today, the second game of the SSLR Regular Season.
Supporters Shield Round 1 Round Up
So, the games in round 1 brought a suitable amount of drama, especially at the game between Kalama and Rorysville. Rorysville were leading 14-0 with just 20 minutes to go, all pundits believing Kalama, league leaders were going to be beaten considerably by the team occupying the place below. However, the fight back began when, in the 61st minute Kalama fly half, Harry Anderson, ran in a try, followed by another just 3 minutes later, both converted, bringing the scores level and the Kalama fans into a frenzy. However in the 67th minute a Highlanders penalty brought them flying back into the league. Not affected by this setback, Kalama went on a scoring frenzy, bringing them an incredible 3 penalities, the last coming in the 79th minute to bring Kalama RFC into round 2. However the chance of winning the Supporters shield is not over for Rorysville, who will face Dawson Blizzard in the Second Round Playoff.
Week 2 Round Up
So, with all the games this weekend lets have a look at the table:
So, Kalama knocked off the top spot by the Magpies after their terrific win over Algona, whilst Sonic City sit bottom for the second week as the only team yet to pick up a point (losses are only awarded points if the losing margin is 7 or less.)
So, join us next week for Wednesdays Supporters Shield Second Round Play-Off between Dawson Blizzard and the Rorysville Highlanders and of course all of Saturdays games which are as follows:
Dawson Blizzard ( Vs. Western Marceau Magpies (1)
Rorysville Highlanders (3) Vs. Riverbourne City RFC (6)
Algona Grizzlies (7) Vs. Sonic City RFC (11)
Kalama RFC (2) Vs. Linktoria City Lions (4)
RFC Airships (5) Vs. Freeport Moose (9)
Bye: RBV United (10)
Thanks for reading and see you soon

Still early, lets see how the rest of the season plays at.
Re: Sim Sports League of Rugby (Weeks 1-3)
I'm having to redo riverbourne so the stadium I posted isn't the current stadium, i'll post the new stadium its got more space on the field so a full size rugby pitch is possible, Now instead of being in a suburb, the stadium is in the absolute center of town.
Re: Sim Sports League of Rugby (Weeks 1-3)
ah ok thanks for the update, are you going to upload a new photo?
Also would anyone be interested in hosting the playoffs final?

Re: Sim Sports League of Rugby (Weeks 1-3)
Linktoria Birds Nest in Linktoria City would love to host it, you want some pictures and stuff?
Re: Sim Sports League of Rugby (Weeks 1-3)
yeah, here it is, and I'd be up for hosting it too, probably in this stadium or the one next to it
- Spoiler:
The stadium thats now home of Riverbourne RFC is called Southend Ground (in the southend of the city) and the neighboring stadium is Riverbourne Stadium.
Re: Sim Sports League of Rugby (Weeks 1-3)
Ah great stadiums guys, It won't be a serious bidding process, I'll just get everyone to vote on it and the best one wins, but I like them a lot

Re: Sim Sports League of Rugby (Weeks 1-3)
yes, you can still enter teams if you want, the only deadline for teams is that to enter in a race you have to have the team in by that tuesday. Unfortunatly races were due by the 15th. and thank you
Re: Sim Sports League of Rugby (Weeks 1-3)
RVC may be interested in hosting the Final at Celtic Field
seeing as either the Magpies or Highlanders will be in the final

Re: Sim Sports League of Rugby (Weeks 1-3)
The Duwamish Department of Culture has disapproved of hosting the league final due to a congested events calendar as is.
(And I'm rebuilding my whole nation...so...)
EDIT: What kind of rugby football does this league play? Apparently, Rugby 08 (your sim) uses rugby union, but I'm not sure. So, is SSLR playing rugby union (15 players per side), rugby league (13 players), or rugby sevens (7 players)?

Re: Sim Sports League of Rugby (Weeks 1-3)
Canuck: Ahh don't count your chickens before the eggs have hatched or whatever the phrase is
Bruce: I should of specified this earlier. The SSLR is Rugby Union, with 15 players and the rules specified (no drag backs as there are in league and more players/bigger playing surfaces then sevens).
The points are 5 for a try, 2 for converting that try and also 3 for penalties/drop goals. The SSLR uses its own league points system, with 3 for a win, 2 for a draw and 1 for a loss where the winning margin is less then seven. No points for a loss otherwise.
Hope this clears things up

Re: Sim Sports League of Rugby (Weeks 1-3)
Hey guys, I'm thinking of maybe putting up some team profiles but I'll need some help from you If you could PM me (dont upload on thread please )
A team kit (football/soccer kits are fine as rugby are hard to find) If you need there are some good templates here
And a background of your teams city and the team itself. If you dont want to then thats fine I'm just trying to add some flavour to the league.
