  OBS - The Official Broadcaster of the XVIII Simlympiad in Okashi, Okaiken  Announcer 1: ご列席の皆様、岡市へようこそ! Announcer 2: Mesdames et Messieurs, Bienvenue à Okashi! Announcer 3: Ladies and Gentlemen, Welcome to Okashi!   Announcer 1: 水と地が出会う場所。。。 Announcer 2: Un endroit où l'eau et la terre se rencontrent... Announcer 3: A place where water and earth meet...  Announcer 1: 植物と豊かな土地。。。 Announcer 2: une terre luxuriante de verdure... Announcer 3: A land lush with greenery...  Announcer 1: そして44カ国は、会う場所。。。 Announcer 2: et où quarante-quatre pays n'atteindront... Announcer 3: And where 44 nations will compete...  Tobei Kobayashi: Hello and Welcome to the OBS English Broadcast of the Opening Ceremony here in Okashi. I'm your host Tobei Kobayashi; In a few seconds the countdown to the Opening Ceremony will begin!                                    Tobei Kobayashi: We are down to 15 Seconds!  Tobei Kobayashi: Ten seconds!  Tobei Kobayashi: 5! 4! 3! 2! 1!     Announcer: The Four Elements...    Fire...  Water...  Earth...  Air... The Story of Okashi Begins with these 4 elements, with each element complementing each other. Fire melts the Earth while air solidifies it. Water then embraces these rich lands to form the islands of Okashi. Now, we welcome you to the land Fire, Earth, Air and Water Created.     Okashi Welcomes You! Yokoso!     |

  Tobei Kobayashi: The First Segment of the Opening Ceremony is called Air. This segment will explore the nature of spring, a symbol of growth for all beings. It looks like a group of performers are using torches to form the Air Symbol of the Okashi Flag.    Tobei Kobayashi: The performers are now regrouping to form something else...     Tobei Kobayashi: What a spectacular sight! The Performers have regrouped to form the 5 Simlympic Rings!    Announcer: Ladies and Gentlemen, please rise for the entrance of the Flag of Okaiken.      Announcer: The National Anthem of Okaiken    |

  Tobei Kobayashi: The Next Performance is a presentation of Adonia, the USNW's planet. Okashi 2013's main slogan, "Harmony through Unity", is presented in this performance.  Tobei Kobayashi: A Pianist play at the centre of the stadium. Looks like he's rising.    Tobei Kobayashi: He is indeed rising, from what looks like a model of Adonia.      Tobei Kobayashi: The globe fades and a performance by AKB48 begins.        Tobei Kobayashi: What a stunning climax to this part of the performance!   |

  Tobei Kobayashi: The title of this Performance is "Struggle on the Sea". Okaiken is known to be surrounded by seawater, and occasionally storms arrive, creating huge waves.      Tobei Kobayashi: The Sanese believe that it was a work of a dragon that lives on the sea.            |

  Tobei Kobayashi: We now go the the Symbolic Release of the Doves. Although often associated with its Olympic Counterpart, Okaiken has decided to hopefully start a Simlympic Tradition.     |

  Tobei Kobayashi: The Simlympic Flame has now entered the stadium. It is carried by Asami Hiroyuna, one of Okaiken's most known athletes.  The cauldron is passed to Honda Iemitsu, and he is going to light the cauldron!  A pulley pulls away the flame away from the stadium and into the cauldron!  What a spectacular sight in the end! |
